Where I've been the last few days.

    Thursday:
Went to pick Wes up at the airport, but because of the hurricane down south, he missed his connecting flight in Salt Lake City, so he had to catch a later one, and we were both forced to sit around an airport for hours on end. It was really great to see him again after three months.

    Friday:
Parents had left that evening, and Mom gave us her debit card so we could eat while they were gone. We went to Las Margaritas 'cause that's one of our favorite places to eat. Wes got the veggie expresso burrito. Little did we know that they put peanut butter in the sauce that goes over the burrito. Wes is deathly allergic to them. After about three bites he started feeling sick, and it was pretty scary. He ran to the bathroom, then ran across the street to Wallgreens, then we stayed in town for a while in case we needed to take him to the hospital.

    Saturday:
Wes and I went to the Big Horn Mountains and Buffalo, Wyoming since Wes likes the mountains so much. Got some good pictures that I'll have to post later on when I have more time. Ran into some cows on the way there, too.

    Sunday:
Went to Devil's Tower since Wes had never been there, hiked around that, then went to Spearfish so we could get something to eat and so I could show Wes my school, where my apartment is, and the fish hatchery. I guess the fish in the big tank were left over fish from when the hatchery closed 20 years ago...they're freakin' huge for trout. Then we drove through the Spearfish Canyon, and Wes did some fishing in the stream, but didn't catch anything

    *side note*
For the last few days, my car had been riding really rough, like one of the tires was out of allignment or something was wrong with it.

The car was riding harder than before, and it was really getting on my nerves. We pulled off the interstate on the way home to make sure the lugnuts were all tight, and they were, but the back passenger tire was warped. We got back on the road, and less than 10 miles later, the tread on the tire blew off...freakin' scared me to death. and scratched the hell out of my wheel well. Grr. Put the spare on and were on our way.

    Monday:
Went to the tire place to get new tires, walked to Perkins for lunch where our waitress all but ignored us except to take our order and to take our plates when we were done. No refills or anything. No tip for her. That night we drove to Casper and got a hotel room. I hate driving that road at night because of all the deer everywhere. It's scary.

    Tuesday:
Got to the airport in plenty of time since we were only a few miles away from it instead of a couple hours. Wes bought some beer the other night (Fat Tire) because they don't sell it east of the Mississippi River. We got it all packaged up and everything, but when we got to the airport, they had to cut it open and inspect it. All that hard work, gone! The security guy didn't look too happy, either...little styrofoam peanuts everywhere...hehehe.

A quick goodbye while he was standing in line waiting to go through the metal detector, and I left quick because I was going to start crying and I didn't really feel like doing that in front of a bunch of people. He made it home okay, and now we're back to normal...I guess...talking on the phone every night before we go to bed and me calling him on my lunch break. It's not so bad.
